About
About Mahers
A Cork coffee business, family-owned since 1991.
Mahers Coffee was bought from Dick Maher in 1991 by John and Mary Mackey, as a retail shop. A wholesale side followed in 1993, supplying restaurants, hotels, cafes, canteens, schools and offices across Munster, and sending coffee by courier nationwide.
In 2025 Frank Mackey took over leading the business. The coffee is roasted in small batches every day in Cork, and the shop on Oliver Plunkett Street sells it with tea and the kit to brew it.
Mahers has a tasting and training centre, and runs barista classes. Barista classes are booked on maherspurecoffee.ie.
At Mahers, coffee is more than a business, it's a Cork tradition.Mahers Pure Coffee
